Experience

  • Business, marketing and project management qualifications makes us the best firm to handle your SQL Server (or in-house MS Access) programming and more complex Web development needs. We have the necessary skills to take us from initial requirements to database design through implementation of your custom application. Owner experience:
    • Web development/design since 2000 - Photoshop CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3 (some Flash)
    • Programming since 2001 in Active Server Pages (Classic ASP) and before that five years in Main Frame PL1 programming for AT&T
    • Internet development and architecture since 1996
    • Sales - over ten years in outside sales with a major corporation providing ongoing sales instruction that will now benefit your efforts to sell. We have an intimate understanding of the difference between features and benefits and what the customer is really buying when they buy your product. It's important in the creation of a truly selling Web site and not. In most cases, we've been able to expand on the content our customers gave us to make the site a better selling site
    • Project Management - managed full Web site requirements to implementation since 2000; implementation of major telephone systems and T.1 network systems (over 10 years)

  • A natural knowledge and enjoyment in creating well organized and intuitive applications - a skill that is lacking in some of the Web sites you see these days, even, in some cases, if they were done by a "Web Professional." Your Web site and MS Access in-house application will not be well-received if it is not well planned. Why didn't that Web site work for you in the past? Organization, professionalism and promotion are critical. Did you have all three? Owner experience:
    • Architectural management of a major corporate Intranet (2 years) - if it isn't easy for your site visitor to make their way around your Web site, they will simply and quickly leave
    • Some Web sites beg to argue that the ability to organize is a natural talent or inclination. Let our client portfolio and client testimonials show you a bit of our talent in this area

  • Extensive main frame programming experience converted for use in Web site programming applications and for MS Access Module programming for in-house systems e.g. conversion of Excel and some legacy systems to a more modern searchable database environment in-house (Database Direct Services). Owner experience:
    • Programming - five years as a main frame programmer plus over three years of programming Web applications

Attitude

  • Susan Riding (left), owner of SR Web Resources, with Catherine Rust and Carl Wallnau, Associate Artistic Director and Artistic Director for Centenary Stage Company, our first customer. We've thoroughly enjoyed serving the Arts, Centenary Stage Company, Catherine and Carl since 1999.
Do site design with true goals in mind.
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive in making each site the best possible experience for the site user
  • Will only work with customers that are interested in a professional site - in both site appearance and site topics
  • Strong belief in the need for and participate in continuing education - for new ways to better serve our customers
  • Easy to do business with
  • When asked to do something, it is either done promptly or the work is scheduled satisfactorily for all parties
  • Maintain a sincere caring and enthusiastic attitude in support of you and your goals
  • We totally believe in the win-win attitude in business. We highly recommend the classic, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, by Stephen R. Covey. Our recommendations will always be based on good character and the sincere belief that it will result in a positive financial or other gains for your business
  • With any project, we do what's needed to make it easy on our customers including communications, suggestions, tracking

Results and Tracking

  • Proven performance - site design, database design/programming and in improving our customers' position with the Search Engines
  • Write letters on our customers' behalf that are thorough and professional
  • Maintain good communications concerning requirements and status in the midst of a project
  • Maintain good communications with small assignments of work - you're not left wondering if we've completed the request.
  • We serve as a full-time resource to your Web needs. This is not a part-time job or hobby for us. We are confident that your end results are better for it.
  • To our knowledge, every time a customer has been at all concerned about the investment they are making with SR Web Resources, they have eventually found that it was successful in returning increased business to cover that cost and/or other hoped for goals. To our knowledge, we have never lost a customer for poor service or poor returns reasons.
  • When we work with search engine advertising, we track it and make that information available to our customer. It serves as a central place to see advertising that you have us set up for you, advertising you set up but make us aware of and reciprocal link tracking, both requests that were accepted and not.
  • We can add tracking mechanisms to your email newsletters that report results in many ways - success is measurable.

Efficiency

  • Organizing a Web site so that it is EASY to use is a talent that we have. Obviously, from sites you have seen on the Web, not everyone has that talent.
  • Ask questions in groups; return with questions and proposed solutions
  • We continue to look for ways the site can make your employees more efficient. We continually assist in looking for ways to off-load functions and answers to the Web site, rather than utilizing expensive people time. End customers like being able to help themselves by way of a Web site. After saying that, we stay aware and facilitate the business attitude that a company must always first maintain the personal service attitude to their end customers.
  • In maintenance mode, we encourage our customers to keep a folder and throw non-critical topics in for review at our next meeting.
  • We keep an ongoing page per customer that lists topics for the next meeting.
  • Depending on the complexity of the next meeting, we will create and email a proposed agenda and encourage pre-planning the meeting.
  • We've established an Extranet that is solely for the use of our customers and is available only by way of logon (Home Page > Client Logon). It offers some helpful technical and not-so-technical information generally and some customer-specific information that only comes up with a particular customer's logon. The advertising tracking page is an example of the latter.
  • We do individual consultation on request and, on occasion, initiate a broadcast message of assistance to all of our customers.

Non-Web Site Assistance

  • Manage email setup and concerns (e.g. set up of "signature")
  • Assist with sales verbiage
  • Consultation on spam and virus control
  • Conduct/facilitate staff meetings to assist in involving employees in meeting your Web goals
  • Other non-Web services

We are your resource that can handle more complex requirements both online and off-line, as they are needed. We can be there for you as your technical needs grow.
